Air conditioning at its simplest! Mobile (or portable) air conditioners come in a variety of types and sizes. They comprise a room unit (about the size of a small refrigerator) that recirculates room air, cooling it or heating it as required.
The heat removed from the room is then dissipated outside in one of two ways. It is either blown from the unit via a 'tumble drier' type flexible plastic tube, or by means of a small outdoor unit (condenser) linked to the room unit by a short length of flexible refrigerant pipework.
